    Introduction

    The Calvary Bible College Library, located at Mualpui Tlang, Salem Veng, Aizawl, continues to serve as a vital resource center for theological education and spiritual growth. The year 2025 was marked by significant additions to our collection, improved facilities, and generous support from the church community.

    Staffing and Patronage

    The library is managed by two part-time staff members. During 2025, the library served 61 active registered patrons, including 14 newly registered members.

    • 32 Bachelor of Divinity (BD) students
    • 16 Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) students
    • 1 Certificate of Pre-Theological Studies (COPS) student
    • 8 Teaching staff
    • 4 Non-teaching staff

    Collection Development

    The library witnessed substantial growth in its literary resources in 2025. A total of 259 new books were added, bringing the total collection to 7,213 registered books.

    • 111 books purchased by the College
    • 142 books received as gifts and donations
    • 6 report books cataloged
    • 5 academic journals subscribed
    • 1 magazine subscription
    • 3 complimentary magazines received

    Academic Research and Usage

    The library remains a hub of academic activity. In 2025, a total of 2,152 books were issued to registered users.

    New research documents registered:

    • 1 Dissertation
    • 3 Master of Theology (M.Th) Theses
    • 12 Bachelor of Divinity (BD) Theses
    • 27 Term Papers

    Infrastructure and Technology

    The library infrastructure is designed to support both study and storage needs.

    • 4 stack units in the General Room
    • 4 stack units in the Reading Room
    • Dedicated rack for journals and magazines
    • 6 reading tables and 30 chairs

    Computer Facilities:

    • 1 Server system
    • 1 Librarian system
    • 1 OPAC terminal
    • 1 Staff-use system
    • 4 User research systems

    Key Achievements and Activities

    The major highlight of 2025 was the inauguration of the Oneness Study Center (OSC) on 21 September 2025, providing specialized access to Oneness theology resources.

    • Maintenance and repair of four computer systems
    • Reorganization of archival materials into the reading room
    • Systematic maintenance of Previous Examination Questions (PEQ) files
